what we do

forest bathing

or Shinrin-Yoku, or Forest Therapy, originated in Japan as a way to help heal a stressed and disconnected population. The idea is to get outside in a mindful way, going slowly and using your senses to help connect you with the space, it’s inhabitants, and yourself. We now have 40 years of research demonstrating the connection between forest bathing and stress reduction, increased attention span, better immune system function, and straight up happiness!

guided sessions

of course you can sink into forest therapy on your own, but we’ve found it can be like an at home workout compared to attending a class - sometimes the motivation isn't the same, you don’t get to experience the energy of the other participants, and you don’t have the expertise of the coach to help you progress!

each guided Forest Therapy walk consists of a series of (completely optional!) invitations to do or engage with something, and then having an opportunity to share with your guide/other participants.

the focus is not just nature connection, but also individual and community connection.

we go s l o w , we use our senses, we take in the little things, and we l e t g o and r e l a x (and then reap the health benefits from doing so!).
